Ava Hearts

I walk up to the booth and say, "Can I enter my horse in barrel racing?"

Guy: "Sure, what`s your horses name?"

"Artemis," I say

Guy: "Ok, now... Here is all the paperwork you have to do..." (He gave her the paperwork.)

I take the paperwork and read it over, pulling a pen from my pocket I fill it out and hand it back to him, smiling a little. "Thanks."

Guy: "Your welcome..."

I walked away to get Artemis, wondering if it always took him awhile to finish a thought

Guy: He finished all his paperwork.

hannah bumped in to ava hearts causeing both of them to fall down oops sorry

Guy: He ignored the two girls.

Ava~ "Ow.." I said smally, rbbing my ankle. I looked at the other girl. "No problem, I wasn't paying attention, either." I held a hand out to her to help her up.

Ava~ I pull her up. "Hi, I'm Ava Hearts."

Guy: He stood there and focused on his work, yet frustrated with the two girls.

I glance over at the guy, wondering what his problem was. I turn back to Hannah with a smile.
"Are you riding at the rodeo?" I ask, the wind pulling my dirty blonde hair around me as I look at her with shining hazel eyes.
"I'm riding my Arabian mare, Artemis, in barrel racing today," I explain as I yank a hairtie off my wrist and pull my hair up. I braid it quickly and loosely, tieing it off again with another hair tie.
"Usually I wear a French braid, but I didn't have time to do that this morning," I say with a slightly crooked smile, a small crook between my front, top teeth.

I smile small and run my hand over my braided hair.
"Cool, what breed?" I ask. I motion to her with my hand and start to walk away. A moment later I come to a hitching rail with only one horse tied to it; A bay Arabian mare.
"This is Artemis," I say, lovingly stroking my horses neck as she dilated her nostrils, ears half-and-half.

I smile small.
"She's beautiful," I say. I turn around to see Levi, my stable hand, standing next to my 7 horse gooseneck trailer, calling me, adn turn back to her with a small smile.
"I got to go, I have to help Levi tack up the other horses, some of my riders are riding today, too," I say, untying Artemis' lead rope.
"Hey, do you need a job? I have room for another stable hand, if so, then just call me. If not, that's fine," I say, handing her a card with my name and number on it. With a wave, I jog to my trailer, Artemis trotting beside me.
